Jim McCabe is a fintech entrepreneur and venture investor. He was an early in investor in U.S. Bitcoin Corp which completed a merger with Hut 8 Corp (Ticker: Hut) in November of 2023. This transaction was the largest M&A deal in bitcoin mining history at that time.
Prior to creating Las Olas Capital, Jim was the founder and CEO of Liberty Settlement Funding, LLC and Liberty Legal Funding, LLC where he was responsible for financing over $1 billion dollars in investment-grade receivables and alternative assets. After selling those businesses, Jim launched Las Olas Capital, LLC to focus on providing venture capital to early stage, high growth companies with innovative technology.
Under his leadership, Las Olas Capital has become a multi-strategy private investment firm. In addition to capital investment, Jim aims to provide management support to the executive teams of his portfolio companies, helping them to operate efficiently and reduce cost under a streamlined infrastructure. He directs strategy and manages the investment committee of Las Olas Capital and also sits on the board of Digi Power X (Ticker: DGXX), US Data Centers, Slips, and American Bridge Capital.
