Biography
Jim McCabe is the founder and CEO of Las Olas Capital. Under Jim’s leadership, Las Olas Capital has become a multi-strategy private investment firm. He was an early investor in U.S. Bitcoin Corp which completed a merger with Hut 8 Corp (Ticker: Hut) in November of 2023. This transaction was the largest M&A deal in bitcoin mining history at that time. He also serves as a Special Advisor and Board Member to several portfolio companies such as Digi Power X (Ticker: DGXX), US Data Centers, and American Bridge Capital.
Prior to Las Olas Capital, Jim was CEO and founder of the Liberty Funding litigation finance platform where he was responsible for financing over $1 billion dollars in investment-grade receivables and alternative assets. After selling those businesses, Jim launched Las Olas Capital to focus on providing capital to early stage, high growth companies with innovative technology.
He has a B.A. in Economics from the University of Florida.
